Created by a shared desire among TPN employees to take action to reduce their carbon footprint, the Green Team has shown us all how small changes can help make a big difference. We started by taking steps in every part of our offices and continue each week with educational emails, outlining changes that can be made at home, in our cars and everywhere we go.
travel/hotels
While on a short stay at a hotel, put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door, so housekeeping doesn't take your towels and sheets. This saves water and energy.
pay bills online
Moving away from traditional mail saves paper as well as timeand money; bills are paid instantly and create less energy.
Also, tell your bank that you want to go "paperless" to receive
statements online.
burning CDs
Limit CD burning when transferring data from home to office. Instead, download your files to a USB drive or MP3 player. This creates less waste and reduces environmental pollutants released in CD manufacturing.
